These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of thetrend.io (the "Service") operated by TREND ("we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

TREND is an AI-powered style intelligence platform that:

• Scans your Gmail for clothing purchase receipts (with your explicit permission)
• Builds a personal style profile based on your purchase history
• Groups you into style clusters with similar users
• Detects emerging fashion trends within your community
• Provides personalized product recommendations

The Service is provided free of charge to users. We generate revenue through affiliate commissions when you purchase recommended products through our links, at no additional cost to you.

To use the Service, you must sign in with a Google account and grant us read-only access to your Gmail. By doing so, you represent that:

• You are at least 13 years of age
• You are the authorized owner of the Google account you connect
• You consent to our scanning of your email for clothing purchase receipts
• You understand we will only use read-only access and will never send, modify, or delete emails

You may revoke Gmail access at any time through your Google Account permissions.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its related systems
• Use automated scripts, bots, or scrapers to access the Service
• Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with a person or entity
• Create multiple accounts or connect Gmail accounts that do not belong to you

The Service, including its design, algorithms, text, graphics, logos, and software, is owned by TREND and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes.

Your purchase data and style profile remain your property. We are granted a license to use this data to provide and improve the Service, as described in our Privacy Policy.

Product recommendations are generated algorithmically based on trend analysis within your style cluster. You acknowledge that:

• Recommendations are informational and do not constitute endorsements or guarantees
• Product availability, pricing, and descriptions are provided by third-party retailers and may change
• We earn affiliate commissions through Skimlinks when you purchase via our links, at no extra cost to you
• We are not responsible for the quality, safety, or accuracy of products sold by third-party retailers
• Any purchase you make through our links is a transaction between you and the retailer

We make no guarantees about the accuracy of trend predictions, style recommendations, or the completeness of purchase data extracted from emails.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TREND SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES RESULTING FROM (A) YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE; (B) ANY UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS TO OR USE OF OUR SERVERS AND/OR ANY PERSONAL INFORMATION STORED THEREIN; OR (C) ANY THIRD-PARTY PRODUCTS PURCHASED THROUGH AFFILIATE LINKS.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without cause, including for violations of these Terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us at support@thetrend.io.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination shall survive, including intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitations of liability.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the Service.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved in the courts located in San Francisco County, California.
